Starting Out as a High Elf (EQ Races)

Felwithe like so many other cities is split into two parts (zones), south Felwithe and just 'Felwithe'. Many of the caster guilds are in South Felwithe while most of the shops and more melee orientated guilds can be found in Felwithe.

The first thing to do is find the Felwithe zone, if your not already in it, when there head West. You will walk over a bridge with a chequered floor and through to a grassy area and a wide passageway. This will take you to the nearby hunting area, Greater Faydark.

There are two guards at the exit of the passageway (entrance to felwithe) and from any location in Greater Faydark you should find the entrance is roughly South East. To begin with head down the road and find the point where the road has a turn off to the right. If you stay near this area you should find plenty of low level monsters and get up to level 3 easily here.

When your ready to move on take the right hand road from Felwithe, this leads to kelethin. After some time you will find a ramp, keep running along until you reach the next one, you will see Priest of Discord standing next to it. If you hunt around this area you should be able to reach level 4.

When you hit 4 or 5 return to the ramp with the Priest of Discord and head directly North from the base of the ramp. You should reach another lift, in front of that is a road. If you follow that road up, around that area where the road ends you should be able to hunt until level 7 from orc pawns, orc centurions and widow hatchlings.

If you move closer to the tents, that are a fair distance away from the road you will find higher level centurions and large widow spiders, becareful when you attack the widow spiders because the basalisks will assist them. You can reach level 8 or so from hunting near the tents.

When your ready the Crushbone Dungeon is a good place to hunt, the orcs give more experience then those in Greater Faydark. From the road that leads from Orc Lift you will need to head directly North, you will pick up another road after some time that also heads north. At the end of this road will be an entrance with two 'torch basins' on either side and one or two orcs. You should be at a level that you could either attack and kill them or run past them.

When you get inside it is usually easiest to head down the left side of Crushbone and over the bridge. The area around the bridge is only good XP up to about level 9. You should move further down from the bridge and into the area with a house and a small stone structure. You can get to level 12 easily here but you will need to be careful of Orc Legionnaires. It can be a much easier dungeon to hunt in if you join a group.

When you reach level 12 or so you can return to the entrance of Crushbone and instead of taking the left side head down the right side. After some time you will see another bridge, and a large stone building, this is the 'Throne Room'. Outside the Throne Room can take you to level 15/16, inside all the way up to 19/20. You will probably need a group for this area as the orcs are in spawn groups instead of single spawns.

At level 20 you will want to head to somewhere like High Keep, Solesk's Eye, Marus Seru or Paludal Caverns. Good Luck!
