Starting Out as a Human (EQ Races)
If you choose a mage / enchanter
/ wizard you will start in your guild, with many spell merchants and guild
masters.
If you walk around some you will
find a small circular pad on the floor, walk onto it. This brings you tot he
courtyard. Near you should be a chequered ramp, walk up here and take a
left.
Follow this corridor until you
see two purple robed humans. Just after them take a right. Follow this till you
find a brick building, on its wall on a sign, in front of you (a little to the
right) should be written Freeport Militia House. Here you take another right. At
the end you can head around the back of the building. You should see a sign
close to the floor saying West Gate. Head straight ahead past the ogre (he may
not be there) and outside the gate. There will be many creatures roaming in front
of you. To start with kill bats, rats/rodents and decaying skeletons. When you
reach 2, go for fire beetles, snakes and orc pawns. Be careful of the orcs as
they attack on sight of you, as do some skeletons.
At level 4 continue west and zone
into East Common lands. Follow the path straight ahead (you may have to move
along the zone border a little. Eventually you will come to an inn. You can
fight orc pawns, spiderlings and fire beetles here until level 5. Bears and cats
can take you to 6 or 7.
Now return to Freeport and locate
the purple mages you passed earlier, at them go straight ahead, then left, keep
following the left wall, go through the gate at the end and continue straight
ahead until you zone into North Ro.
If you are around level 5 you can
fight young pumas, scarab hatchlings, rattle snakes and the occasional
armadillo.
Further into the desert you will
find large rattlesnakes, orc raiders, scarabs and large spiders. This area can
take you to around level 10, you can also venture into the cutthroat camps in a
group. At this point you can head carefully into Oasis (South), or head back to
East Commons and fight orcs in the nearby West Commons or High Pass, and this is
the point the guide ends. I hope this has helped you with starting out in
Freeport, Good Luck with your human!
