Rivervale
Rivervale is the home of the Halflings. It is a
fairly small, but has all the supplies an adventurous Halfling will need to
start their journey.
The town itself has some similarities to the
Elven cities of Kelethin and Felwithe, where they appear to be 'integrated' into
the natural environment. Halflings feel a great draw to the outdoors and feel
right at home surrounded by grassy fields, trees and streams.
Though the size of the buildings would make it
somewhat difficult to a barbarian to explore them, Rivervale is fairly easy to
navigate. It has two entrances, one from Misty Thicket and one from Kithicor
Forest, both lead into the main 'green' of which the Fool's Gold tavern is the
centre piece. (Also the Rogue Guild) From here the Bank is a short walk North
(The Warrior Guild is stationed inside which aids bank security) and the Chapel
of Mischief (Cleric guild) can be found to the South East. Other places of
interest for those new to the town (or to Norrath) are Bobick's Boads for
fishing supplies, Kevlin's Gear for armor which is to the South of Fool's Gold
and the farmstead where the Druid and Ranger Guilds reside. (East of Fool's
Gold)
There are also two small 'settlements' to the
North and to the South. The South has an oven and forge, and the North has a
pottery wheel and Kiln. There is also a Brew Barrel behind Fool's Gold.
