Home/Articles/Misty Thicket

Misty Thicket

Misty Thicket is a fairly large zone, split into two sections. The first has fairly weak mobs (level 1-6 or so), and the second which is walled off from the rest of the zone has stronger ones (around 4-12).

This guide will start from the entrance to Rivervale, as a level 1 Halfling. The first thing you will notice is the road going straight ahead from Rivervale, its best to stick near this so you can find your way back.

Large Rats, Bats and Snakes will be your first targets and give most experience until level 3. At level 3 you can fight some spiders, and fire beetles. Be careful when you attack fire beetles because they will gang up on you, as will most spiders, though fire beetles are the most numerous.

When you have a full inventory you can return to the two houses near Rivervale to sell your items, leather armour can be brought from a merchant near the Fool's Gold tavern.

When you reach level 5 or 6 you will probably want to move on to harder mobs, this is the time to move into the second section of the zone. To get there, follow the road from Rivervale, taking the first right hand turn you come to. You will find a tall wall which stretches across the zone, go in the nearest entrance (should be guarded by deputies).

When you start hunting here be aware that there are many wandering mobs, some a fair bit higher than your level. You can fight up to level 10 or so in this section by attacking wanderers, or you can get a group and attack the Goblin and Orc camps. Goblin Warriors are around level 4-9 and the same with Orc Centurions.

For wanderers you can attack shadow wolves (4-6), scarab beetles (9-12), or young kodiaks and the large rare spiders. (also black bears are around level 5). There will sometimes be orcs and goblins walking around, these are usually safe targets as long as they aren't near the camps.

When you have reached the point your experience is no longer worth the fight, you can enter Runnyeye dungeon. (Entrance is near the orc and goblin camps) In here you can fight in a group against goblins and possibly move on to the Gorge of King Xxorb (zone) when you have outgrown Runnyeye.
