Shadeweavers Thicket
Shadeweavers Thicket is a very large zone
and includes the network of tunnels that lead into Paludal Caverns.
A young Vah Shir will enter Shadeweavers
Thicket through the Shar Vahl gate. Down the road from this gate there are
several tents and trainers for warriors, rogues and beastlords on the left and
shamans on the right. Many quests can be found here, so it is best to talk to
all the cats around this area.
If ST is entered at level 1 then the Xakra
worms and beetles are good to hunt till about level 5. The strange bug like
creatures called nuisances tend to be under conned and can heal themselves and
cast damaging spells so it is best to leave them alone at least until level 4.
They drop cloth armor which can be useful until you receive leather.
At level 5 or 6 move onto the road on the
right of Shar Vahl, this has tough Skeletons and various rockhoppers. In groups
you can hunt the Loda Kai camps and wandering poachers.
The more powerful swarmer beetles and
skeletal hunters can take you up to level 8 or 9. Becareful of the Shak Dratha
which are KOS to Vah Shir and their cousins the Gor Taku (which begin as
dubious).
On the opposite side of the zone to Shar
Vahl you can find a tunnel entrance guarded by Gor Taku guards and hunters.
Inside they have a camp where the Gor Taku appear to be training, the Warlord
trainer is level 40 so don't attack anything without being prepared to run.
To the right of Shar Vahl at the end of
the road will be another entrance to the tunnels, there are many camps of Gor
Taku and Shak Dratha inside and an entrance to Paludal Caverns.
