Starting Out as a Froglok (EQ Races)

The first job is to find your guild trainer and hail him, there will follow several small quests, and all frogloks will do the same quests until they reach level 10 or so. (You may want to put all of your training points into the skill your starting weapon is.)

After you have done several of the quests you will be sent out into the Swamp. To find the zone to Innothule press Backspace, and use your map to guide you, you will find the zone very close to the soul binder. (more information on this on the home page)

When you zone into Innothule, make note of where the guards are, you will probably need them at a later stage. You can begin by hunting snakes and the spiderlings, when these become too easy you can move further into the swamp and start hunting the larger snakes and even a wandering kobold. The small shroom men are suitable for level 4 or 5, but the larger ones (Trackers/Watchers) can be around 7 or 8, with watchers approaching level 10.

When you reach 7 or 8 it is a good time to begin grouping, you can go after the Troll Raiders/Invaders or the Kobolds until you reach around level 14, at which time, you will likely want to move on to another location. If you choose to solo above 7 then you will need to be careful of wanderers, the spawns are very fast and quite close together, there are few places in the swamp that a monster will never walk over. At level 15+ you should be fairly safe from the creatures of the swamp if you wish to return to train in your city.
